Liens and collateral

Ficoso

Also known as First Corporate Solutions, which is the name most of the older material in this industry uses.

Nationwide UCC search, filing and monitoring. The service that keeps a security interest perfected.

Everything below came from that company’s own website or from dated trade coverage, and the sources are at the foot of the page. Where they publish nothing, this page says so rather than filling the gap with an estimate.

Two claims, kept apart

Liens and collateral

The relationship

A fact about two companies. Ours to assert.

FactorFox works with Ficoso. Confirmed 28 August 2026. It requires no code to be true and it implies none.

The connection

A fact about software. Engineering’s to evidence.

Available

Read from the integration register at build time. This page cannot say anything else.

The same two questions are worth asking of any vendor’s partner page, including this one.

What they do

What Ficoso actually sells.

  1. Ficoso is a UCC and public records service bureau. Lenders search for existing liens on a prospective client, file their own UCC financing statements in any United States jurisdiction, and monitor a portfolio for new liens, tax liens, litigation and bankruptcy filings.

  2. Founded in 1987 as Bay Area Courthouse Services, renamed Pacific Corporate and Title Services in 1993 and First Corporate Solutions in 2005. Samuel Hon succeeded founder David Silverburg as chief executive in 2019.

  3. One thing worth knowing, because getting it backwards is the easiest mistake to make here: Ficoso is a 2026 rebrand of a thirty nine year old company, not a new business. Older material, including partner announcements from 2022, uses the First Corporate Solutions name.

Why it matters

Why a funding business should care.

Written for the lender rather than for the borrower, which is the audience every page on this site is written for.

  1. For a factor this is existential rather than administrative. You file a UCC financing statement to perfect your security interest in the receivables you buy, and you search first to confirm no prior lienholder has a superior claim to the same receivables. Getting that wrong does not cost you efficiency. It costs you the collateral.

  2. Monitoring covers the case nobody plans for, which is a competing lien filed after you funded.

  3. A search also surfaces double factoring, because a client already assigned to somebody else shows up as an existing filing. That is a fraud control that happens to fall out of a compliance process.

  4. They state they have been a preferred ally of the International Factoring Association for over fifteen years, which is the same association FactorFox holds designations with.

What would move

What would flow between the two systems, and in which direction.

This is the question a technology partnership starts with, because it determines whether there is anything worth building. It describes the exchange, not a shipped feature.

  1. Outbound: a client or debtor name for search, then a filing instruction on approval.

  2. Inbound: lien search results, filing confirmations, and monitoring alerts on UCC activity, business entity changes, bankruptcy and state court filings.

  3. They publish JSON REST APIs and a free sandbox with static real world California data. Their authentication model uses two credential sets, one identifying the integrating system and one for the billable entity, which is the shape a platform vendor needs rather than the shape a single lender needs.

Where this stands in the product

The connection, stated the way the register states it

How every status word is defined

What we could not establish

Published deliberately, rather than quietly left out

Employee count, ownership and revenue are not published.

A partner page that has an answer for everything has usually stopped checking. Several companies in this group publish no founding year and no headcount at all, and that is a finding about the industry rather than a gap in the research.

Sources

Where these facts came from.

Check them. That is the entire point of publishing them.

The commercial relationship was confirmed by FactorFox on 28 August 2026. The connection status above is not confirmed by anybody at FactorFox. It is read from the integration register, which only engineering writes to.

Ask us what connects today, and we will answer with the register open.

Not with a logo strip. If the answer is that nothing connects to a vendor you depend on, you will hear that in the first conversation rather than in week five of an implementation.
