Carrier payments and fuel

Tank Payments

Instant carrier payment rails that run outside banking hours, with reversibility built in.

Everything below came from that company’s own website or from dated trade coverage, and the sources are at the foot of the page. Where they publish nothing, this page says so rather than filling the gap with an estimate.

Two claims, kept apart

Carrier payments and fuel

The relationship

A fact about two companies. Ours to assert.

FactorFox works with Tank Payments. Confirmed 28 August 2026. It requires no code to be true and it implies none.

The connection

A fact about software. Engineering’s to evidence.

Not built

No row exists in the integration register, so nothing in the product connects to them today.

The same two questions are worth asking of any vendor’s partner page, including this one.

What they do

What Tank Payments actually sells.

  1. Tank Payments sells payment infrastructure for freight. It provides payables automation and instant payout rails to factors, brokers and platforms, and a financial account, driver pay and fuel card product to carriers.

  2. Founded in 2022 and part of the Y Combinator summer 2022 batch. Based in Austin, Texas. Founded by Dane Cook, Jad Rahbany and Matthew Rybak. Their card issuer and banking partners are named publicly on their own site, which is more disclosure than most payment companies offer.

  3. Of every company on this page, Tank Payments is the best documented on corporate facts.

Why it matters

Why a funding business should care.

Written for the lender rather than for the borrower, which is the audience every page on this site is written for.

  1. Funding outside banking hours is the practical difference between a carrier waiting until Monday and a carrier fuelling on Saturday. Their factoring page describes funding with no wire or automated clearing house cut off times.

  2. Reversibility is the feature an operator notices and a marketing page underplays. Being able to correct a disbursement after it has gone is worth a great deal in an operation that funds continuously, because continuous funding means more opportunities to send the wrong amount to the right carrier.

  3. They name FactorFox on their own homepage among the factoring platforms they integrate with, alongside FactorView, FactorSoft, FactorCloud and WinFactor. That is a partner asserting the relationship on their own property rather than us asserting it on ours.

What would move

What would flow between the two systems, and in which direction.

This is the question a technology partnership starts with, because it determines whether there is anything worth building. It describes the exchange, not a shipped feature.

  1. Outbound from the platform: invoice approval, payment authorisation and payee identity.

  2. Inbound: payment status, settlement confirmation and fuel transaction data.

  3. Onward to the carrier: instant funding into their account, reachable by card, bill pay or a message to the driver.

  4. They publish no public API documentation. Their help centre is written for end users rather than developers, so an integration here is a partner build rather than a self serve one.

Where this stands in the product

The connection, stated the way the register states it

No register rowNothing connects today

A commercial relationship, and the one partner who names FactorFox publicly on their own site. No row exists in the FactorFox integration register today, so the register governs and this page does not describe it as available in the product.

How every status word is defined

What we could not establish

Published deliberately, rather than quietly left out

Total funding raised, a reliable headcount, transaction volume, and whether the factoring platform integrations they name are live in production or offered.

A partner page that has an answer for everything has usually stopped checking. Several companies in this group publish no founding year and no headcount at all, and that is a finding about the industry rather than a gap in the research.

Sources

Where these facts came from.

Check them. That is the entire point of publishing them.

The commercial relationship was confirmed by FactorFox on 28 August 2026. The connection status above is not confirmed by anybody at FactorFox. It is read from the integration register, which only engineering writes to.

Ask us what connects today, and we will answer with the register open.

Not with a logo strip. If the answer is that nothing connects to a vendor you depend on, you will hear that in the first conversation rather than in week five of an implementation.
